Abstract
The enzyme activities in the squamous cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix were studied histochemically In alkaline phosphatase, the malignant cells and stroma had no enzyme activity, but cervical glands and endothelium of the blood vessel had a little activities. In aicd hophatase, cervical glands blood vessel, and stromal cells had moderate enzyme acitivities but the cancer cell had more marked enzyme activity than the control group. The estrase and beta-glucuronidase activities of control group were negative to slight in the epithelium stroma and cervical gland tissue, but the activities of the cancer tissue increased to modereate degree. And all of the above enzyme activities had no relationship between the menstrual cycles.
